Business Languages

Goal

Set the languages once for the whole business. Every website of the business uses the same languages and the same primary language.

Before You Start

  • Only a business owner or admin can change the languages. Other members can view them.
  • Removing a language deletes its content on every website of the business. It cannot be undone.

Steps

  1. In the business dashboard, open Settings then Languages.
  2. Add the languages your visitors need.
  3. Choose the primary language with Make primary.
  4. Remove the languages you no longer need.
  5. Save. If you removed a language or changed the primary language, review the summary and confirm.

What Saving Changes

  • Added language: every website of the business gets it. If automatic translation is on, the website pages and published articles are translated into it. See Business Translation.
  • Removed language: its articles, tags, promotions, SEO texts and payment texts are deleted from every website of the business. The summary shows how many articles, tags and promotions will be deleted.
  • New primary language: on every website, page links without a language prefix show the new primary language. No content is deleted.

Verify After Completion

  • The language switcher of each website lists the business languages.
  • Links without a language prefix open in the primary language.

Troubleshooting

  • No Languages page: only business owners and admins see it. Ask a business owner.
  • A language cannot be added: it is turned off on the platform. Contact support.
  • Languages on a website screen cannot be edited: website screens only show the business languages. Change them in the business dashboard.
  • If the issue persists, share a screenshot and the exact steps with support.
